The sitting of the National Assembly on January 26th, 2012 began with members of parliament observing a minute of silence in tribute to the great Bulgarian actor Kosta Tsonev.

At the sitting’s opening, the Speaker of the National Assembly Mrs Tsetska Tsacheva announced that the loved by all Bulgarians actor Kosta Tsonev had past away the previous day. She stressed that the actor was symbol of an entire era in the contemporary Bulgarian theater and cinema.  

“He revealed his flamboyant personal presence and uncompromising civic stances not only on stage but also at the floor of the 39th and 40th National Assemblies as member of the parliament. Let us honor the great Bulgarian actor and public figure with a minute of silence” she asked.
