National Assembly President Tsetska Tsacheva and other Members of the Parliament took part in the festivities on the occasion of the Day of Valor and the Day of the Bulgarian Army.

They have attended the ceremony on water blessing of the combat and military flags of the Bulgarian Army. The traditional service dedicated to the Christian holiday of St George, celebrated also as the Day of the Bulgarian Army, was held at the Monument of the Unknown Soldier by Bishop Yoan of Znepole.

Flowers and wreaths were laid in front of the monument. The National Anthem of the Republic of Bulgaria was performed by the National Guard’s brass orchestra.

Later on, the National Assembly President has attended the traditional military parade of the Bulgarian army’s special forces.
