The National Assembly Vice – President Anastas Anastasov met with the Deputy Secretary General of the Standing Committee of the All- Chinese Assembly of the People’s Representatives Lin Weni. A Chinese delegation, led by Mrs. Lin Weni is on official visit to Bulgaria at the invitation of Anastas Anastasov. In the meeting took part the chairman of the parliamentary friendship group Bulgaria-China, Dimitar Boychev and his deputy Mihail Mikov.
The vice-president of the Bulgarian parliament has noted the meeting is of exceptional importance for the further development of the relations between the two countries in the fields of economy, trade, investments and culture. Bulgaria bears great respect for the achievements of China and I do believe that the forthcoming visit of Prime Minister Boyko Borisov to China will provide a serious impetus for large scale investments and completion of a number of projects in the infrastructure, renewable energy sources and ecology sectors, Anastas Anastasov emphasized. He stressed that Bulgaria has great desire to expand its exchange of goods with China.
The vice –president of the Bulgarian parliament added that Bulgaria was on the way to develop as a modern, world class, tourist destination with its wonderful Black Sea and mountain resorts and the possibility to receive Chinese citizens holders of valid EU entry visas is a possibility to increase the number of Chinese tourists in Bulgaria.
On her part the deputy Secretary General of the Standing Committee of the All-China Assembly of the People’s Representatives Lin Weni defined the relations between the two peoples as warm and friendly. She recalled that Bulgaria was the second state to recognize the People’s Republic of China and said her people will never forget it. In her words Bulgaria was a reliable and good partner of China in the European Union. She added Bulgaria was an important country in Eastern Europe and was playing an active role in the protection of peace and stability in the region.
The Secretary General of the Standing Committee of the All-China Assembly of the People’s Representatives, Mrs. Lin Weni, had meeting with the National Assembly President Tsetska Tsacheva.
