Mayors will have to construct sites for the free disposal of household divided waste including big volume and dangerous items at any place with population of more than 10 000. This was decided with the second reading of the Waste Management Law, adopted by the parliament today. The sites should be ready for exploitation in 2 years after the law goes into effect.
The parliament revoked partially the complete ban on the “hydraulic fracturing method” in the exploration and production of gas and oil with 92 votes in favor, 12 against and 6 abstentions. The complete ban was imposed on January 18th, 2012. Today’s decision was passed with the votes of the GERB, the Blue Coalition, the Movement for Rights and Freedoms parliamentary groups and 2 independent members of the parliament.
