The parliament supported the veto imposed by President Rosen Plevneliev on the amendments to the Forests Act. The ruling party declared that the bill will be reworked and not put to a new discussion unless a consensus of the disputed texts was reached.

Five deputies voted in favor of the amendments adopted previously – 1 from the GERB PG and 4 independents, 38 were against, while 84 abstained. That is how the veto was accepted. The parliamentary groups of Coalition for Bulgaria, the Movement for Rights and Freedoms, the Blue Coalition and Ataka voted against, while the deputies from the GERB PG abstained.

Thus the two texts in the Judiciary Act, disputed by the president, were turned down. The texts concern paragraph 12 and 16 of the last amendments, according to which the elected members of the Supreme Judicial Council and the inspectors to the council could be appointed at one level higher positions of the one held before their election as judges, prosecutors and investigative magistrates, after they quit the Council or the Inspectorate.
