The National Assembly Vice-President Anastas Anastasov has handed in Certificates to the participants in the “Internship Programme for Legislative Research of the National Assembly”. 22 students pursuing degrees in Law, International Relations, Political Science and Public Administration received Certificates attesting to the successful completion of the programme. They have taken part in the legal research in the fields of health, education, social policy, electronic voting, child protection etc.
Mr. Anastas Anastasov underscored that the students who took part in the research have contributed to the making of the European image of Bulgaria and assured them that their efforts have received the recognition of the deputies. He added that young people should profit from the opportunity to be part of the legislative process as much as they can in order to improve their skills and expressed hope that the number of young people having the chance to accumulate knowledge and experience in the National assembly will continue to grow.
The student programme for legislative research of the National Assembly was founded in 1999 with the active participation of the US Agency for International Development. The programme had become part of the administrative structure of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria since February 2006.
