The President of the National Assembly, Mrs. Tsetska Tsacheva, has sent condolence letters to the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, Mr John Boehner and to the President of the U.S. Senate Joseph Biden. The letters read as follows:
“I am deeply shocked by the tragedy that happened in the Sandy Hook primary school in Newtown, Connecticut. The mass killings of innocent people, most of them children, terrified each one of us. I would like to express the grief of all the people’s representatives in Bulgaria’s parliament.
No nation is immune from such acts of insanity. Our pain is even greater due to the fact that it happened to the most innocent and vulnerable.
We join to the mourning of the entire American society and are deeply in symphaty with the profound anguish of the families of the victims.”
