29/01/2013
In the last day of her visit to Ireland the President of the National Assembly, Tsetska Tsacheva, met with the Speaker of the House of Representatives in the Irish Parliament, Sean Barrett. During the talks discussed were the bilateral relations, the dialogue between the parliaments and a broad range of the current topics on the agenda of the European Union.

The head of the Irish Parliament focused more on the priorities of the Irish Presidency of the EU Council, which include sustainable economic recovery directed at the needs of people, at investments in economic sectors beneficial to employment and to the resources of Europe; and the useful interaction of Europe with the rest of the world. Both parliamentary leaders were categorical that it was crucial for Europe to create the necessary conditions for the increase of employment and sustainable growth. They have put the stress on the economic recovery of Europe and its common markets, oriented towards the future and focused on the young generation and on overcoming the unemployment among the young as the key elements of the Irish Presidency’s agenda.

The chair of the Bulgarian Parliament extended gratitude for the removal of the obstacles for Bulgarians to the Irish labor market and invited Sean Barrett to visit Bulgaria on top of a parliamentary delegation.
