National Assembly President Tsetska Tsacheva met with the Speaker of Parliament of the Republic of Albania Jozefina Topalli

Bulgarian -Albanian relations are based on friendship, cooperation and partnership. This has been confirmed at the meeting between the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria, Tsetska Tsacheva, and Jozefina Topalli, Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Albania.

Parliamentary delegation, led by the head of the Albanian Parliament is on a two-day official visit to Bulgaria. The visit is held at the invitation of the National Assembly’s President.

Tsetska Tsacheva and Jozefina Topalli expressed satisfaction with the intensive dialogue, held at the highest political level, in the last year. It has been stressed that this is giving opportunity for  the two countries to widen the scope of the bilateral relations and focus on the implementation of the joint projects.

The President of the National Assembly, Tsetska Tsacheva, declared that   Bulgaria has an open, pragmatic and constructive policy towards the countries from the Western Balkans and confirmed the support of Bulgaria in the process of integration of Albania in the European Union, in conformity with the decisions taken by the European Council in  December last year.

The Speaker of the Albanian Parliament Jozefina Topalli is to address the Members of the Bulgarian National Assembly on February 6th, 2013 at 10.50 am.

The head of the Albanian Parliament is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Boyko Borisov. The delegation will also be received by the President of Bulgaria, Rosen Plevneliev.

The Albanian delegation includes the following Members of the Parliament of the Republic of Albania: Ledina Aloli, Arenza Trashani, Florion Mima and Seliami Dgepa.
