The National Assembly President, Tsetska Tsacheva, and members of the parliament took part in the celebrations on occasion of the National Holiday – March 3rd .

On occasion of March 3rd ,the Chair of the National Assembly and deputies have participated in the hoisting of the National flag ceremony and the wreaths laying in front of the Unknown Soldier Monument in the capital Sofia.

In the evening a solemn tattoo and roll-call were held at the National Assembly Square. The ceremony began with the procession of the sacred military flags of Bulgaria. The Bulgarian President, Rosen Plevneliev, has reviewed the parade of the Sofia Garrison's special units. The memory of those who perished for Bulgaria was honored by a minute of silence. The National anthem was played and wreaths and flowers served in front of the Tsar Liberator Monument.

The ceremony was attended by the President of the National Assembly, Tsetska Tsacheva, and by members of the parliaments of Bulgaria and Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, Romania, Moldova, Serbia and Montenegro, invited to Bulgaria for the commemorations of the 135th anniversary of its Liberation. The roll-call was also attended by ministers from the cabinet in resignation, by the mayor of Sofia city, Yordanka Fandukova, Patriarch Neofit, the Chief Mufti of Bulgaria, Mustafa Hadji, high military officials, clerics, diplomats and citizens.

A solemn concert dedicated to the National Holiday of the Republic of Bulgaria was held at the National Theater “Ivan Vazov” on March 2, 2013. The event is part of the initiatives planned for the observance of the 135th anniversary of the Liberation of Bulgaria. The commemorations will take place under the patronage of the President of the National Assembly, Tsetska Tsacheva.
