In the day of national mourning in honor of Plamen Goranov, the man who set himself on fire, the members of parliament paid tribute with a minute of silence.
It is difficult to give a one-sided qualification of this tragic act – an act of civic courage or an act of despair, stated the parliament’s chair Tsetska Tsacheva. She pointed out that in any case the death of Plamen is a sign that the society is not willing to accept social deformations under any form and we are obliged as politicians but also as citizens to become more considerate and open towards the messages of the society.
