Parliament Speaker Mihail Mikov congratulates the Bulgarian winners of the European Citizens' Prize of the European Parliament for 2013

National Assembly President Mihail Mikov forwarded congratulatory messages to Academician Valeri Petrov and Dr. Milen Vrabevski, President of the "Bulgarian Memory" Foundation - Bulgarian winners of the European Citizens' Prize of the European Parliament for 2013.

"For generations of fans of your affluent and comprehensive creative work, your worthy, wise and elegant presence in the domain of Bulgarian literature represents a high standard and inexhaustible source of inspiration," says the Speaker of Parliament in his letter to Valeri Petrov. "This prestigious recognition is an appreciation of your talent and constant desire to make the world a better place. It carries the message that in times of doubt and anxiety, people more than ever need a powerful charge of culture, creativity and spirituality", said Mihail Mikov.

The National Assembly President has also congratulated Dr. Milen Vrabevski, President of the "Bulgarian Memory" Foundation. "I share the deserved appreciation of the jury, which is an acknowledgment of your active commitment to the spread of European values ​​among young people," said Mihail Mikov. "In recent years the civil society in our country has duly appreciated your tireless work in promoting the common cultural traditions of Europe. With this award your mission has acquired an obvious European dimension, "said the National Assembly President.
