National Assembly President Mihail Mikov has sent condolatory addresses to His Holiness Patriarch Neofit and the Holy Synod in connection with the demise of the Metropolitan Bishop of Varna and Great Preslav Kiril.

Please accept my deepest condolences on occasion of the tragic loss that filled with sorrow the orthodox Christians of Varna and Great Preslav’s dioceses as well as all laymen of Bulgaria, is written in the letter of Mihail Mikov. He notices that Metropolitan Kiril has consecrated his life to an unstinting service to his parishioners, taking upon the mission of spiritual and ethical education of Bulgarian children, working for a Church committed to social services.

“We shall remember him with his deep love for people and his sincere conviction that only faith will save our people. Tribute to the memory of His Eminence Metropolitan Kiril”, writes in his letter Mihail Mikov.
