The leaders of the Committee on Religious Denominations and Parliamentary Ethics have met with the Chief Mufti of Bulgaria, Mustafa Alish Hadzhi, on 10 December 2013. The meeting was held on the initiative of the committee and took place in the Mufti Head Office in the capital. The main topic discussed were the proposed amendments to the Religious Denominations Act.
After the meeting, Plamen Slavov, chair of the Committee on Religious Denominations and Parliamentary Ethics informed the journalists that at the meeting the committee had expressed before the leader of the second biggest religious denomination in Bulgaria its resolution to work in dialogue with the latter as well as with all other faiths to solving all issues between the state and the traditional religions in the country. The Chief Mufti expressed his support for the proposed amendments in the law.
