The
possible stationing of NATO military bases in Bulgaria was one of the subjects
under discussion during the meeting of the National Assembly
Vice-President Lyuben Kornezov
with the Speaker of the Senate of the Republic of Poland Longin
Pastusiak.

Mr. Pastusiak highly evaluated
the cooperation between the Bulgarian and Polish contingent in Karbala, Iraq.

The two
shared the opinion that parliamentary cooperation is important for the
development of the bilateral relations, as well as for the process of EU and
NATO integration. They expressed readiness for maintaining an active dialogue
between the National Assembly and the Polish Senate.
