The Ministry of Education and Science together with the Youth and Sports Ministry should set up a joint working group to review Ordinance No 14 and other regulations concerning students' sports in order to propose amendments in 2 months term . This decision has been taken on the sitting held at 3 October 2013 by the Children, Youth and Sports Committee of the parliament.
The committee has decided that students playing in sport clubs should be able to take part in school students competions after amendments to the existing regulations.
The Coalition for Bulgaria MP Milko Bagdasarov proposed that the amendment to the Physical Education and Sports Act should exclude from sports competitions only the teams of the state sports schools.
The Minister of Youth and Sports Mariana Georgieva proposed introduction of free and mandatory sports activity and to up the hours of physical education to 5 hours weekly.
