Today National Assembly President Gerdjikov met with Hoshyar Zebari, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Iraqi Interim Government.

Bulgaria’s participation in the process of the reconstruction of Iraq was discussed in the course of the meeting.

Mr. Zebari expressed gratitude to the Bulgarian government and Bulgarian people for their support and stressed the good prospects for cooperation.

Iraq’s debt to Bulgaria was one of the subjects under discussion as well. Minister Zebari assured that his country would do its best to implement the undertaken international commitments.
