China demonstrates interest in Bulgarian goods and we need to expand our production for the Chinese market, stated the chair of the National Assembly, Mihail Mikov, before journalists in Chongqing city. The chair of Bulgaria’s parliament is heading a parliamentary delegation on an official visit to China, which is to take place from 12 to 17 December , 2013.

Mihail Mikov has held talks with bank officials who show readiness to finance projects in Bulgaria, as well as to fund the production of goods in Bulgaria for export to the ever developing and looking for Bulgarian goods Chinese market.

On 14th December 2013 the Speaker of the National Assembly had meeting with Mrs Dgan Suen, head of the people’s representatives, elected from the city of Chongqing. During the talks the parties outlined the new horizons opening for the mutual cooperation of the two countries.

Earlier that day Mihail Mikov has visited the Expo center for commercial goods in Chongqing where Bulgarian goods such as cosmetics with rose oil, preserves, wines and juices were at display. He and members of the delegation had meeting with representatives of the Chinese company “Haifu Medical”. The company produces medical equipment for bloodless ultrasound surgery. The equipment is already in use  at the “St Marina” regional hospital in the town of Pleven.

The visit of the parliamentary delegation is at the invitation of Zhang Dejiang, chairman of the Chinese National People’s Congress Standing Committee. The parliamentary delegation was accompanied by a business delegation representing a broad specter of the Bulgarian economy.
