The President of the National Assembly has sent his condolences to the family and friends of Prof. Nikolay Vasilev.

“We are parting with a respected scientist and renowned university professor, with a person of extreme civic and intellectual dignity. Prof. Nikolay Vasilev has also left a bright trace in the political life of Bulgaria, dedicating many years of his life to the establishment of democratic values and to our common aspiration for advancement and wellbeing of our country”, writes the chair of the parliament. He notes in addition the fervent academic and journalistic work of Prof. Vasilev will remain exemplary.

“We won’t forget his relentless work as Vice-Premier and Minister of Education and Science”, the letter reads.
