Argentinean master of classical guitar Rolando Saad performs as guest-soloist at the "Palm Sunday" concert of Simfonietta "Sofia" orchestra held in "St. Sofia" Hall of the National Assembly

The Argentinean master of classical guitar Rolando Saad performed as guest-soloist at the "Palm Sunday" concert of Simfonietta "Sofia" orchestra under the baton of Svilen Simeonov. On the stage of "St. Sofia" Hall were performed the "Carmen" suite and "The Arlezian" by Georges Bizet. Rolando Saad and musicians performed the famous "Aranjuez" concert for guitar and orchestra by Joaquin Rodrigo.

The musical event is part of a series of concerts dedicated to 135 years Bulgarian parliamentarism, held under the patronage of the National Assembly President Mihail Mikov.

The program of the symphony concert also featured parts of "Classic and Romantic" by Pancho Vladigerov,  "Spain" suite by Emmanuel Chabrier and "Thracian Dances" suite by Petko Staynov.

Rolando Saad was born in Cordoba, Argentina. He graduated in his hometown and specialized in Barcelona under the famous Argentine concert musician Maria Luisa Anido. Rolando Saad performed in concerts and participated in music festivals on the most prestigious stages across Europe, Argentina and Latin America.

For his brilliant performing career he was honored with various awards – a medal from the "Chopin" Festival in Wroclaw, Poland; the prize of the city of Milan, Italy etc. Rolando Saad has been part of successful tours with the orchestra of Yehudi Menuhin.
The prestigious musical event was organized in cooperation with the Sofia Municipality and the "Hope" Municipal Institute of Culture.
