In a statement Mihail Mikov has noted that the Holiday of 24th May is loved by all – this is a day when we remember the lasting mission of the holy brothers Cyril and Methodius; we remember the influence of their apostle’s mission on the appearance of contemporary Europe. In his words the script created by the two brothers is one of the invaluable historic contributions and part of the contemporary values of our continent – cultural equality and diversity. This is the reason why, today, more than ever before, we are obliged to keep and turn over to the following generations the appreciation and recognition of the two teachers’ historic contribution, of their inspired literary work, of their selfless efforts to reaffirm our common Christian roots.
The president of the National Assembly, Mihail Mikov, congratulates all Bulgarians and especially those of them who have dedicated their lives to literature, education and spirituality. He wishes them good health, sense of pride and many new reasons for high spirits.
