Bulgarian parliamentary delegation takes part in the Interparliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy’s 21st General Assembly

A Bulgarian delegation has taken part in the Interparliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy’s (I.A.O.) 21st General Assembly, held in Moscow, 26-30 June 2014. The forum was held at the premises of the Russian Federation’s State Duma and was opened by the Head of the State Duma Sergey Narishkin.

The delegation of the National Assembly to the 21st General Assembly of I.A.O. was represented by the head of the delegation Volen Siderov and his deputy Plamen Slavov. At the opening the representatives of Bulgaria delivered greeting addresses on behalf of His Holiness Neofit, Patriarch of Bulgaria and on behalf of Bulgaria’s President of the National Assembly Mihail Mikov.

The subject of the 21st I.A.O. General Assembly is: “Parliamentary  Democracy-Christianity-Orthodoxy: values and concepts”. The deputy head of the Bulgarian delegation Plamen Slavov has presented report on the main topic.

The representatives of I.A.O. have attended the third edition of the Democratic Forum themed: “New dimensions of Parliamentary dialogue in modern world”, held in the capital Moscow before the opening of the 21st anniversary General Assembly of I.A.O.
