The Parliament has ratified two Agreements with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development concerning road and hydro infrastructure projects.
The National Assembly has ratified the amendment to the Agreement for Provision of Consultant Services between the Road Infrastructure Agency and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, signed on 25 October 2012. The amendment takes effect on 4 April and extends the agreement’s term of validity until 26 October 2014 and prolongs the use of consultant services from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The extension of the agreement’s duration does not change the cost of the contract.
The lawmakers have ratified also the agreement for consultant services aimed at strengthening the competitiveness of Bulgaria in the agricultural sector and at setting up draft strategies for sustainable development in the water sector and the prevention of the waters’ harmful effects between the Ministry of Agriculture and Foods and the Bank.
The Parliament has ratified the Trade Agreement between the European Union and its Member States on the one part and Columbia and Peru on the other part, signed on 26 June 2012 in Brussels, as well as Acts of the XXV Congress of the Universal Postal Union. The deputies ratified the Protocol of Amendment and Supplementation to the Memorandum for Understanding on the implementation of the Programme for Trans-border Cooperation Bulgaria-Romania 2007-2013.
