Bosnia and Herzegovina to open embassy in Sofia

Bulgarian parliamentary delegation led by National Assembly President Ognian Gerdjikov is on a three-day official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina. They met with the President of Bosnia and Herzegovina Sulejman Tihic, Council of Ministers Chairman Adnan Terzic and the Speaker of the House of Representatives Nikola Spiric.
President Sulejman Tihic thanked Bulgaria for being the first to recognize Bosnia and Herzegovina and informed Prof. Gerdjikov about his country’s intention to open embassy in Sofia.
Council of Ministers Chairman Adnan Terzic congratulated Bulgaria for its accession to NATO.
During his meeting with the Speaker of the House of Representatives Nikola Spiric Prof. Gerdjikov said that Bulgaria will be a full NATO member on 29 March. Bosnia and Herzegovina can rely on Bulgaria’s support on its road to the EU and NATO, he added.
Gerdjikov was told that a street in Sarajevo will be named “Bulgaria” as a symbol of the friendship between the two countries.
