The National Assembly President Tsetska Tsacheva and other deputies took part in the campaign titled: “We are not different! Let’s talk diabetes!”
In connection with the World Day against Diabetes – November 14th, children suffering from diabetes have measured the blood sugar of lawmakers and journalists and have distributed information materials about the disease.
The Speaker of the National Assembly Tsetska Tsacheva was among the first to adhere to the initiative held by the National Association of Children and Young People with Diabetes. I participate in this campaign, devoted to our children’s health, for a second time, after the 6 year old Ivo has tested her blood sugar.
The Chair of the National Assembly stressed that good information of the whole society about the risk factors, the symptoms and the treatments is the best way to fight the insidious disease that affects more and more people.
Tsetska Tsacheva noticed the importance of the prophylaxis and the support on the part of the entire society for overcoming this socially significant disease. She said she had supported events of the campaign against diabetes in her district.
Under the patronage of the National Assembly a public forum themed: “United against diabetes” was held on 13 November 2014. Physicians, Endocrinologists and civic organizations of patients took part in the event.
