On the eve of Christmas the National Assembly has taken part in the charity campaign collecting money for the purchase of musical instruments for talented children, as part of a project called: “The successful children of Bulgaria”, launched by the foundation of the football player Dimitar Berbatov. The initiative received support and the lawmakers have collected 5 230 levs from an exhibition of donated paintings, held at the National Assembly.

In his recorded video address to the lawmakers Dimitar Berbatov has thanked them for their response to the initiative and for organizing the charity exhibition at the Assembly. “The event means more funds for the talented children in the arts, the sciences and sports” , he said.

The collected money will be used for the purchase of three musical instruments.

Two of the children, sponsored by the Foundation of Berbatov, performed piano music at the National Assembly’s Club of the National Representatives.
