The President of Bulgaria’s National Assembly has handed over to H.E. Ambassador Xavier Lapeyre de Cabanes letters to the National Assembly and the Senate of the French Republic. In the condolences towards her colleagues Tsetska Tsacheva writes: The journalists of “Charlie Hebdo”, who paid with their lives, are an example of the constant fight that Reason leads for the prevailing of human dignity over tyranny and fanaticism, for preserving freedom, democracy and knowledge. “After the pain come the thought and the faith that the world’s democratic community must be even stronger, more decisive and united in the fight against terrorism”, concludes the chair of parliament.
Tsetska Tsacheva has signed the book of condolences in the embassy and offered the solidarity of Bulgaria with the friendly people of France. “We feel deep grief and compassion for the victims and the pain of their families and relatives”, the head of the National Assembly has stated.
