The President of the National Assembly Tsetska Tsacheva has met with the newly elected Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) Mr. Asaf Hajiyev.
The place and importance of the Assembly in looking for and finding out solutions for economic development of the region, as well as for enhancement of the bilateral and multilateral cooperation were among the topics discussed. Mr. Hajiyev noted the active role of the Bulgarian delegation in the work of the organization.
The Chair of the Parliament Tsetska Tsacheva has congratulated Asaf Hajiyev with his election as Secretary General of PABSEC. She noted the Bulgarian delegation’s work was carrying continuity and expressed confidence PABSEC was to have reliable partners in the face of Bulgarian deputies. The meeting was attended by the Vice-President of PABSEC Petar Kanev and by the head of the National Assembly’s delegation to the organization Polina Karastoyanova.
PABSEC is the parliamentary dimension of the Organization for Black Sea Economic Cooperation – the only regional international economic organization of the countries of the Black Sea region. PABSEC has twelve member countries – Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine.
