Tsetska Tsacheva: Bulgaria is highly interested in raising European investments in the fields of high tech, bio agriculture and territorial development
20/04/2015

Bulgaria is highly interested in expanding European investments in the fields of high tech, bio agriculture and territorial development. The statement is part of the speech of Tsetska Tsacheva delivered at the Speakers’ Conference of the EU Member States, held in Rome recently.

In her words such investments could effectively contribute towards the common efforts aimed at overcoming high unemployment and at the creation of high quality and ecologically sustainable new jobs, for young people in particular. The speech of Bulgaria’s parliament’s speaker was delivered in the framework of the session dedicated to: “Europe after the crisis: new paths towards growth” - the topic was focal in the agenda of the conference and was subject of intensive discussions among the participants.

Tsetska Tsacheva stated that the collective efforts to surmount the effects of the crisis had offered plenty of precious knowledge - about how to attract resources, how to proceed with changes in institutions and how to assess the emerging risks. The President of Bulgaria’s parliament called to looking at the new ways of providing intelligent, sustainable and inclusive growth.

Tsetska Tsacheva confirmed before the participants that Bulgaria is taking an active part in the EU decision making process and its effective implementation thereof. In her view the experience of Bulgaria showed that sustainable development could be reached through enhancement of the economic cooperation between the member countries of the European Union. “Today we need, more than ever, a development based on partnership and implementation of joint economic initiatives”. She added that countries like Bulgaria contribute a small part to the European GDP through joint enterprises, investments and intelligent specialization. The head of Bulgaria’s parliament reiterated that the European economy could get a boost by developing instruments for attracting private investments to its Investment Programme’s  priority projects.

At the time of her visit to the Italian capital Tsetska Tsacheva has held meetings with the President of the National Assembly of France, Claude Bartolon and with the Chairman of the Germany’s Bundestag, Dr. Norbert Lamert.
