03/06/2015

The Vice President of the National Assembly, Dimitar Glavchev, has opened at the National Assembly an exhibition titled: “Draw me a smile”. The event was organized on occasion of 1 June – Day of Children.

We need smiles not only at the National Assembly, but all over the country, noted Dimitar Glavchev and explained that the small artists included in the exhibition had won many prestigious awards in Bulgaria and abroad.

Lawmaker Krasimira Kovachka promised to work on legislation creating the necessary conditions for talented children to remain and develop their talents in Bulgaria, in their motherland. "I am sure that among the authors of these paintings there are future great painters like Vladimir Dimitrov – nicknamed “ the Master”, Zlatyu Boyadzhiev and Dechko Uzunov".

The exposition consists of 40 pictures, painted by 12 children, 3 to 11 years old. The gifted children are part of the “New Masters” painting school in the town of Kyustendil. Their teacher is Evgeni Serafimov. In his words the paintings of these children give a new direction to art.  He asked the lawmakers to open their hearts and smile more while looking at the paintings.
