The President of the National Assembly Tsetska Tsacheva had talks with the Patriarch of the Orthodox Church of Romania, His Holiness Daniel. The chair of the National Assembly is heading a parliamentary delegation on a two-day official visit to Bucharest, Romania.
The relations between the two orthodox churches, the stable diplomatic dialogue and dynamic partnership between Bulgaria and Romania were the accents of the meeting.
Tsetska Tsacheva mentioned that in the spirit of the good neighborly relations and cooperation the two countries should consider reestablishing the Orthodox Church service in Bulgarian language in Romania.
During the official visit to our northern neighbor the Bulgarian members of the parliament had meetings with the President of Romania, Mr. Klaus Yohannis and with the Foreign Minister Bogdan Aurescu. Both parties agreed that the contacts had to intensify with the aim to carry out a number of infrastructure projects and construction of bridges across the river Danube.
The two sides agreed that in order to reach greater energy diversification they needed to complete the construction of the interconnector for gas transportation between the cities of Ruse and Gyurgevo. Among the key topics discussed, as one of the fastest developing in the bilateral trade and economic relations between the two countries, was the tourist field. Tsetska Tsacheva underscored that the two countries needed to offer joint tourist products and to hold joint tourist promotions in third countries.
