Tsetska Tsacheva: Republic of Korea is a friendly state and a very important partner of ours in Asia

Republic of Korea is a friendly state and our very important partner in Asia, stated the National Assembly president Tsetska Tsacheva at her meeting with the chairman of the friendship group Republic of Korea-Bulgaria in the South Korean parliament, Kim Young-woo. She expressed her satisfaction with the good parliamentary relations between the two countries and underscored the need to develop the connections at a higher level.

The foreign parliamentarians’ visit takes place soon after the official visit of the Bulgarian head of state, President Rosen Plevneliev, in the Republic of Korea. I am confident that the bilateral agreements for cooperation signed during the visit will lead to tangible results, said Tsetska Tsacheva. According to her the dialogue and the full implementation of the mechanisms for parliamentary cooperation between Bulgaria and the Republic of Korea will continue.

During the talks the two parties noted the need to intensify the contacts between their peoples aiming at the realization of more business projects, investments and trade. The development of our economies determines the well-being of our citizens, stressed Tsetska Tsacheva and pointed to the cultural and historic tourism as a stable basis for developing further the relations between the two countries.

The chairman of the friendship group Republic of Korea-Bulgaria in the Republic of Korea’s parliament Kim Yang-woo focused on the opportunities of the two countries for cooperation, at an expert level, in the fields of trade, science, information technologies and defense.

The president of the National Assembly, Tsetska Tsacheva, reiterated her invitation towards the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea, Chung Ui-hwa, to pay an official visit to Bulgaria.
