An Australian parliamentary delegation led by the President of the House of Representatives Neil Andrew will pay an official visit to Bulgaria in July, it emerged at the meeting of National Assembly President Prof. Ognian Gerdjikov with the Ambassador of Australia H.E. Mr. Stuart Hume.
This visit will be an expression of the Australian willingness for cooperation with Bulgaria and for strengthening of the bilateral relations, Mr. Hume stressed. According to him, the visit could intensify the bilateral relations in trade, as well as the cooperation in agriculture, tourism and education.
Bulgaria is also interested in stepping up the bilateral relations, National Assembly President Gerdjikov stated. It’s confirmed by Bulgaria’s wish the Bulgarian Consulate General in Canberra to become an embassy, he added. Bulgaria has already offered a favourable business climate for investments, Prof. Gerdjikov assured.
