The National Assembly has authorized the initiation of penal proceedings against the MPs Volen Siderov and Desislav Chukolov on charges of committed hooliganism.

The decision to wave the immunity of MP Siderov was passed with 144 “yes” votes, 11 “against” and 1 abstention. The parliamentary groups of GERB, BSP, DPS, the Reformist Bloc, the Patriotic Front, the Bulgarian Democratic Center and ABV have voted in favor of the above decision.

The work program of the National Assembly for the current week envisages debate on an amendment of the Rules of Organization and Procedure and repeated consideration of the Military Intelligence Act  vetoed by President Rosen Plevneliev.
