26/11/2015
The National Assembly President Tsetska Tsacheva opened an exhibition of the Bulgarian artist Danail Ignatov entitled “My Motherland Bulgaria”. The exhibition features 42 paintings dedicated to the beauty of Bulgarian nature, renaissance towns and medieval architecture.

The paintings of Danail Ignatov make us reflect on our attitude to nature and to ourselves as a nation and individuals, the President said in her remarks. Tsetska Tsacheva went on to say that the nearly perfect color harmony in the works of the famous Bulgarian artist conveys joy, peace and inexpressible feeling of transience and eternity. In her words, the exhibition “My Motherland Bulgaria” brings back the idyllic, the purity and integrity of nature where human intervention is still discreet, devoid of aggressiveness and arrogance.

Tsetska Tsacheva added that every canvas of the exhibition resounds with a theme of its own and the landscapes depicted by the paintings have a history and nationality.

I am extremely pleased and happy that I have the opportunity to stage an exhibition at the most Bulgarian of all premises where the national laws are being forged, said Danail Ignatov. The author’s interest to the Bulgarian way of life and Bulgarian nature, in his own words, is determined above all by the understanding that art is a treasure full of lessons for all who are interested in the vital spark of the nation and its relationship to the places where it lives.

Among the paintings featured by the exhibition “My Motherland Bulgaria” are such entitled “Spring in the Rhodope Mountains”, “Karlovo courtyard”, “Koprivshtitsa”, “Melnik”, “Summer day in a village”, to mention just a few.
