The Chair of Parliament Tsetska Tsacheva and MPs took part in the solemn tattoo and roll call ceremony on occasion of the 138th anniversary of the Liberation of Bulgaria.
The ceremony took place in front of the Tsar Liberator Monument in Sofia and started with the solemn display of the sacred military flags of Bulgaria. The memory of those who perished for the freedom of Bulgaria was honored with a minute of silence, with laying of wreaths and flowers. The national anthem was performed.
The ceremony was attended by the Head of State of the Republic of Bulgaria, President Rosen Plevneliev. He reviewed the parade of the representative units of Bulgaria’s defense forces. Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, the Minister of Defense Nikolay Nenchev, the Mayor of Sofia Yordanka Fandukova, His Holiness, the Patriarch of Bulgaria Neofit, the Chief Mufti Mustafa Hadji, high ranking representatives of the military and the clergy, diplomats and citizens were present at the celebration.
The Vice Commander of the Bulgarian Air Forces, Brigadier General Anatoliy Krustev was running the ceremony.
