The Chairperson of the National Assembly Tsetska Tsacheva and members of the parliament took part in the festivities on the occasion of the Day of Valor and of the Bulgarian Army – 6 May.
They attended the solemn water blessing of the military flags. The traditional ceremony is held each year on the Christian holiday dedicated to St. George (Gergyovden) in front of the Monument of the Unknown Soldier in Sofia. The service was carried out by His Holiness the Patriarch of Bulgaria, Neofit. Wraths and flowers were served at the monument under the sounds of the anthem of Bulgaria, performed by the wind orchestra of the National Guard.
Later on, the Chair of the Parliament attended the annual military parade of the different units of the Bulgarian armed forces. The parade took place at St. Alexander I Square in the capital.
