Two posters of the renowned Bulgarian artist Kamen Popov, symbolizing the accession of Bulgaria and Romania to the European Union, were presented as gifts to the National Assembly by the two sisters of the artist – Snezhinka and Yulita Popovi. The two pieces of art were commissioned to the artist by the European institutions in Luxembourg and Brussels upon the accession of the two countries to the European Union in 2007.
The posters have been exhibited there for a long time but now they are in Bulgaria and their place is in the Bulgarian Parliament, Yulita Popova said. She, together with her sister,  delivered personally the two pieces of art to the Deputy President of the National Assembly Dimitar Glavchev.
The two posters feature a swallow – the bird that always comes back home, the sister of the artist explained the metaphor. In her words, the posters have raised great interest in the European cities but their place is in Bulgaria. On 7 July 2016, in memory of the great artist  Kamen Popov (1947 – 2015), an exhibition was opened in Sredets Gallery of the Ministry of Culture. The author went to Luxembourg in the 80s where he worked and lived. His works of art have been exhibited in galleries in the USA.
