Landscapes, still life, portraits and figure painting were presented by Dimitrii Lyubenov, a painter from Veliko Turnovo, at his exhibition in the National Assembly

The Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Tsveta Karayancheva, opened the exhibition of Dimitrii Lyubenov, a painter from Veliko Turnovo. His works include landscapes, still life, portraits and figure painting.

The exhibition we are opening today has a dominant theme and it is the theme of Veliko Turnovo, said Tsveta Karayancheva. In her words, the exhibition gives us an opportunity to take a glimpse at the beauty of the town from different perspectives and in the different seasons of the year. The Deputy Speaker of the Parliament emphasised that Dimitrii Lyubenov’s works are focused on Bulgarian customs, mentality, nature and outlook on the world.

Despite having been born in Vidin, Dimitrii Lyubenov considers himself a painter from Veliko Turnovo. In 1971 he earned his degree in painting from the University of Veliko Turnovo.
