Amendments to the Financial Supervision Commission Act, sponsored by the Council of Ministers, have passed first reading in Parliament. Out of 162 MPs, 100 voted in favour, 22 were against, and 40 abstained.

Some of the amendments are connected to the budget provision of the Financial Supervision Commission. It is envisaged that funding will be through charges collected in the implementation of the Commission’s powers.

The Act stipulates that the remuneration of the Financial Supervision Commission’s employees shall not be lower than the remuneration of employees who are subject to supervision by the Commission.
