Speaker of Parliament Tsveta Karayancheva has attended the presentation of the book “Az sluzhih pri Drangov” (“I served under Drangov) in Karlovo.

We should remember people like Drangov because he is history, courage, a respectable Bulgarian officer, said the Speaker of Parliament. We should tell our children about such patriotic Bulgarians, added Tsveta Karayancheva.

Before that the Speaker of Parliament received the parade order of the representative companies from 61st mechanised brigade in Karlovo.

The book by Krasimir Uzunov is dedicated to the life and work of colonel Boris Drangov, commander of 5th Macedonian Infantry Regiment, a distinguished military commander and pedagogue, who took part in the Ilinden-Preobrazhenie uprising, the Balkan wars, and WWI.

The event, held under the title “An evening of patriotism”, at which the book was presented, was attended by Defence Committee Chair Konstantin Popov and MPs Plamen Manushev, Zhelyo Boychev and Veska Nencheva.
