Speaker of Parliament Tsveta Karayancheva has presented certificates to students who this year worked as legislative assistants in parliament.
Tsveta Karayancheva thanked the young people for their work for the legislative institution. With your surveys you are of great help to us and that is why, as Speaker of Parliament, I will continue to support the Student Programme for Legislative Surveys, she emphasised. I hope you have gained enough knowledge and skills to benefit from in your future careers, said Tsveta Karayancheva to the students.
The Speaker of Parliament presented the certificates and congratulated the students.
The Parliament’s Student Programme for Legislative Surveys was launched in 1999. In the past 18 years it has been established as part of the parliamentary administration.
202 legislative surveys have been conducted since the beginning of the programme. In 2017, the ten legislative assistants have been involved in conducting four surveys on: legislative practice regarding the work of architects across Europe, anti-corruption laws, boosting the birth rate in Bulgaria, and EU legislation on personal assistance.
