Deputy Speaker of Parliament Emil Hristov and MPs attended the water blessing of the military flags on Epiphany Day in Sofia.

On 6 January 2018, his Holiness Bulgarian Patriarch Neophyte performed the traditional water blessing of military flags, banners and sacred flags. Flowers were laid at the monument of the Unknown Soldier. The ceremony ended with the national anthem and a march of the guardsmen.
