Speaker of Parliament Tsveta Karayancheva has given the “Sirak Skitnik” grand award at the ceremony to celebrate the 83rd anniversary of the Bulgarian National Radio.
She addressed journalists, the managing, creative and technical teams of the media and its friends. You have walked a long way, we have heard many things from the radio that we love, which gives us information, and has its own public and political life, said the Speaker of Parliament in her address. Tsveta Karayancheva emphasised that the radio carries Bulgaria’s culture through the years with the radio dramas, its golden collection and the wonderful children from the radio choir who opened the Bulgarian Presidency. The Bulgarian National Radio is a school for young journalists, a standard for the profession, an institution, we all listen and sometimes learn from it, added the Speaker of Parliament. She praised the management of the radio for keeping the tradition to give annually the awards named after Sirak Skitnik, the first director of the radio, an artist, poet, critic, and public figure. The Speaker of Parliament wished all nominated and winning journalists to continue to be good professionals, and have more listeners, friends and professional success.
Tsveta Karayancheva gave the “Sirak Skitnik” grand award to the music editors’ teams of the Bulgarian National Radio for being highly professional and upholding the public image of the media.
The ceremony and concert for the 83rd anniversary of the Bulgarian National Radio took place in Studio 1 of the Radio.
