The Parliament introduced requirements to the sales management software in retail outlets and e-shops. Amendments to the Customs Act, also updating the VAT Act, passed second reading.

Retailers shall choose their sales management software from a list provided by the National Revenue Agency, or otherwise, be liable to a fine of BGN 1,000 – 3,000 for natural entities, or BGN 5,000 – 10,000 for legal entities and sole proprietors. The deadlines for complying with the new provisions will be specified in an ordinance by the Minister of Finance.
