Plamen Georgiev elected Chair of the new Anti-Corruption Committee

The Parliament has elected Plamen Georgiev Chair of the Anti-Corruption and Forfeiture of Illegally Acquired Assets Committee.
Plamen Georgiev was nominated by GERB political party and the United Patriots. Nikolay Nikolov, nominated by the BSP, also ran for the post. 148 MPs voted for Plamen Georgiev, 66 were against, and 4 abstained. Nikolov won 79 votes, 62 were against, and 73 abstained.
