MEETING OF NATIONAL ASSEMBLY VICE-PRESIDENT LYUBEN KORNEZOV WITH A CUBAN PARLIAMENTARY DELEGATION

The expansion and development of the Bulgarian-Cuban relations were discussed by Mr. Jaime Crombet, Vice-President of the Parliament of Cuba, and the Bulgaria-Cuba Friendship Group of the National Assembly during their meeting today.

A visit at this level is first one for the last 15 years, and this is indicative of the revival of political contacts between the two countries, National Assembly Vice-President Lyuben Kornezov, who is also Chairman of the Parliamentary Bulgaria-Cuba Friendship Group, said.

Prof. Kornezov expressed a wish for deepening and developing trade and economic relations between the two countries. He familiarized his guest with the activities of the Bulgarian Parliamentary Group for Friendship with Cuba which is one of the largest in parliament.

Mr. Crombet acquainted his hosts with the current economic and political situation in Cuba.
