Defence Committee Chair General Konstantin Popov met with Captain Tim Ferns, UK Military Attaché in Bulgaria.
They discussed Bulgarian-British bilateral relations in the area of security and the stability policy of the Western Balkans. General Konstantin Popov explained to Captain Ferns about the projects for modernisation of the army and the priorities in defence laid down in the Strategy for National Security, updated and endorsed by the National Assembly today.
The meeting is part of the formal meetings of Captain Ferns in relation to his official accreditation as UK Military Attaché in Bulgaria.
