Speaker of Parliament Tsveta Karayancheva spoke with representatives of women’s organisations in Varna. At the meeting they presented their work in support of their fellow citizens in need, and raised issues related to the draft legislation on volunteering, elderly people, as well as possible amendments to the Child Protection Act.

Thank you for what you do, said Tsveta Karayancheva to the representatives of the NGO sector. It is good that you are united and what you do for the benefit of society by supporting our most vulnerable fellow citizens is commendable, she emphasised. The Speaker of Parliament promised to refer the questions asked by the representatives of the NGO sector to the MPs from the relevant parliamentary committees.

The meeting was attended by representatives of “Cherishing Women” Association, Zonta Club, and Inner Wheel Club Varna.
