Speaker of Parliament Tsveta Karayancheva spoke with President of the National Assembly of Armenia Ara Babloyan. Tsveta Karayancheva said that the good relations between the two countries were built upon long-lasting historical and cultural ties.
Tsveta Karayancheva and Ara Babloyan praised highly the cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries as an important element of the development of Bulgaria-Armenia relations. They both expressed preparedness to work towards deepening the parliamentary interaction between Bulgaria and Armenia.
Tsveta Karayancheva recalled that by the end of 2018, a Memorandum for cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries wold be signed. According to the Speaker of the Bulgarian Parliament, Bulgaria and Armenia had good cooperation in many areas, such as economy, culture, education and science.
Tsveta Karayancheva emphasised on exchange in science, which was implemented by interested universities in the two countries. Ara Babloyan mentioned the significance of joint projects in healthcare.
The Speaker of the Bulgarian Parliament told her Armenian counterpart about the achievements of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU.
